Beach Day!

Now that school is over it is time to have a little bit of fun! I decided to pack up a picnic and hit the beach! My outfit was a little "thrown together." Instead of a swimsuit I opted for a loose top and cropped ali baba pants. The favorite part of my outfit was my turban and teeka. I tied a silky square scarf in a turban style and topped it off with a teeka. I was definitely on an accessory kick when I picked out my outfit, but my best accessory is my Westie! As long as your accessories harmoniously work together, stack on and layer!

Spring Has Sprung

Spring has sprung in Houston! The weather has been amazing. I will take any chance I can to prolong the wearing of skinny jeans and long-sleeved blouses. The inevitable summer heat is bound to come. Fortunately, I was able to catch some photos with friends at Hermann Park before this spring weather goes away. My outfit is Indian-inspired, with some modern twists. I thought that pairing some sky high tie dyed wedges with my printed silk blouse and red skinnies would really add a unique spin on the outfit. The jewelry I am wearing may seem very statement-like, but it is actually extremely versatile. I can throw on the panja bracelet whenever I feel like adding an Indian flare to an outfit. The Kashmiri earrings are great for spicing up a bun. Layered gold necklaces are great for anything, need I say more? The watch can be thrown on whenever. I had never worn the gold watch and panja bracelet combination up until now, but I quite enjoy it. I love mixing unexpected things together.

Enjoy these last days of spring, wear something bold, and invest in Indian jewelry!
